The Economy & railroading

With everyone biting their nails over the stock market and the economy in general,  do you think there will be a downturn in the railroading hobby?  Banged Head

Hi, easyaces.  Using a different approach than the person above took in answering your question, there is a very active thread currently underway on this page dealing with this very topic.  The title of that thread is, "MRR costs and a slowing economy" originated by AltoonaRailroader.  Please feel free to participate....add your thoughts.

The questions look discrete to me, and therefore in my eyes, the new post is welcome and thought provoking.

Well in my eyes this very same topic has been beat to death over a number of months now.   To be honest of course the economy will have a negative effect on the hobby.   How many times do we really need to discuss it?  Banged HeadSigh

That will depend on the hobbyist.I had NO  intentions on the  Wall Street fat cat blues inferring with my hobby plans.I own no stocks,bonds,401k etc so,for me life will go on  regardless what the economy does.It has never bother me before when they was yelling doom and gloom during the past recessions and to quite honest I think the news media has made things sound far worst then they really are unless one  happens to be a Wall Street fat cat.
