Need Help Identifying An Atlas Truck
Posted by Mark R. on Saturday, November 15, 2008 3:38 PM

I recently purchased a pair of Atlas HO trucks off ebay. I would really like to order another set from Atlas, but can't for the life of me determine what they came from !!!

Unlike most Atlas trucks, these have a truck pin that mounts in a hole on the frame. Also, unlike most others, the side-frames are flat and don't have the "wrap-around" tabs that lock on to the front and rear of the truck.

The truck is identical to that found on the Trainman line of GP38-2's, but I need the Alco style side-frame. ANY listing I can find on the Atlas site shows the older cup mount on all the Alco's including the new C420's (?)  These side-frames I have obviously belong to this truck as they don't have the wrap-around tabs - and they are new as they have separate brake cylinders !

Does ANYone know what these are off of ??? - and more precisely, a part number !

Thanks, Mark
