paper cutout containers - free download site... does anyone know the site please?
Posted by xdford on Saturday, October 18, 2008 7:46 PM

Hi All,

I remember a few years ago finding a site with HO and N scale cut out containers mainly for ship modelling dockside but of course we could use them too. I did try a search of this Forum... maybe I have found a limitation of what it is capable of.

I think the site was German with a bundle of cutouts for different shipping companies... Does anyone know where the site is please?

 TIA

The nice thing about the site is that the containers are in PDF's you can download, so you don't have to go online everytime you want to print one. If you have trouble downloading them let me know. I have most of the PDF's on my hard drive (downloaded them years ago) and can email them to you.

Jeffery,

Just so you know, each of your posts showed up multiple times, and in different wordings. :) It's almost as if you didn't think it got posted and it really did.

Also, not that there are many O scalers here, but if you scale these up 185% in Photoshop, they come out exactly 1/48th scale. The problem becomes printing them, however. You'd need legal sized paper for the 20' containers and soemthing like 11x17 for the 40' ones.

Hi xdford,

 try this link too:  http://home.wanadoo.nl/schatborn/index2.html

apart from a wealth of containers, it will give you a vast amount of (usa) trailers

Have fun with it,

Both of these are excellent sites. Does anybody know of a site that has cutouts for 1940s era trailers like the Metal Classic round nose trailers

The posts weren't coming up when they were posted. The forum software had some kind of brainfart and they all showed up the next day.
