Whats been stated by Driline & Co. is true, not much in your life is private, if you believe it to be so, sorry about that. Athough I don't need a 5 year old widget reminding me everytime I want to view WPF, it's harmless.

From Dana soft's website:

It's a cheesy marketing tool for their crap software, I'm surprised that yelling guy on TV isn't selling it by now.

"What is the Danasoft sign?

The Danasoft sign is a fun widget that you can add to your Myspace layouts, Myspace backgrounds, blog, forum posts, or your website. You can customize the graphic with your own messages. When people see the sign, they will see all sorts of spooky information about them (it works like a one-way mirror), like their IP address, operating system (Windows, Mac), web browser type, along with your customized message at the bottom, published right on your profile, blog, or website. We also have a new city graphic that tells the person where they live, which is especially freaky.

Whenever anyone visits a website, that website identifies the visitor's Internet connection by a code known as an IP address. Every computer has a unique IP address. What most people don't know is that the IP address itself contains all sorts of information about the visitor such as the physical location of that person's Internet provider (which is usually the same city as the visitor).

The cool thing about this graphic is that when people see it, they think their private information (like their city or IP address) is being publicly shown on your Myspace background, layout, blog, or forum, and they think that other people can see their private info! Their first thought is, "hey, how did my IP address get on this website?!", or "why is this website telling people where are live?!" In reality, they are the only one that can see their private info, because the graphic is created in real-time for each person who sees is. When you see the graphic, you will see your IP. When others see the graphic, they will see their IP.

Most of the blog widgets, Myspace layouts, and Myspace backgrounds out there are pretty junky. We think the danasoft graphic is a much more stylish way to jazz up your Myspace profile, your blog, or your website, and there's no better way to freak people out and make them think that you are publishing their private info.

Of course, you can also customize the graphic with your own unique sayings: stuff like, "You are being tracked!", or "I am watching you.", or "You are not anonymous" - you can write anything you want to on your personal sign.

This sign makes people realize how vulnerable they are when surfing the web. If you're visiting this site wondering how we know your IP address, you should know that your IP address is automatically shown to every website you visit, including this one. Even if you just view an image from a website, like the Danasoft graphic, your IP is broadcast to that site. If that matters to you, make sure your computer is protected by a firewall, and consider using an ***********. "

Yeah and while he's complaining about my signature do-hickey, why isn't he upset at Google, MSN and the others that take satellite photos of his neighborhood.  If I knew his address I'd show him a pic of his front door; again, thanks to Google street level photos.

I guess this is what I get for complimenting cudaken's picture.

It doesn't show your IP to anyone else but you. If you go get on another computer it will show YOU the IP of that computer. Again, it shows your IP to YOU and nobody else.

 Now back to trains.

Jeff you and I have the same problem, nasty looking AC unit hanging over our benches! It does make our efforts look, well little bad.  My problem is it hangs over the A line and all most over the B-line. Till I tear down the current bench, I am stuck with it.

As far as one post per Weekend Photo Fun, post as many as you like! Your base ball field has gave me ideas for my mining company. All so thanks for helping me with the old Blue Box Athearns I have.

Sorry about the off topic picture folks, but I am still a Mopar person at heart.

Just an idea-maybe it can be that new A/C manufacturing plant on the edge of town that decided to design their building like their product! Not too far out there-there's the Longaberger Basket Co. HQ in Newark Ohio. They built their offices like a giant wicker basket, you can see it from a few miles off. I used to pass it on Route 16 when I went to the national Mopar shows in Newark. Google Longaberger & you'll see what I mean!

wow, thats something, glad it wasn,t the fake rubber dog poo factory...........Laugh [(-D]

Maybe it would create some industry for the layout? Just an idea! Big Smile [:D]

Now there's an idea! I think I can come up with a sign that says 'Colder-n-ell A/C Manufacturing Corporation' to go between the intake and the louvers and maybe an outside elevator shaft going up one side of the front.

Wonderful weekend here as usual.  You folks are my inspiration.

All I've been doing is installing a torti and cutting and working on the last of the fascia panels.  Here are some quick shots of the new fascia:

This panel has not been cut for the contour of the land yet,  I have just marked it.  This will be a cut on the mainline.  A good way to prevent rolling stock from leaving the miniature world if it derails....

Please pardon the mess, it is under construction..Shock [:O]Wink [;)]Big Smile [:D]

Impressive. What is the total cost to have this printed? And what's the final size of the backdrop photo?

WOW LOL. I guess thats an unknowing compliment from me showcasing your fine artistic skills. I could swear it was a photograph.

My backdrop sucks. If you look closely at the picture I offered in this weeks WPF, you can see the brush strokes of blue and white in the background. Yuk.

Hmmmm... Lets see first class flight to a cornfield in the middle of Iowa to have train backdrop painted by professional. $5,000? No problem Smile [:)]

Two problems. The air runs 24/7/365 and it's a six and a half foot reach across the layout at that point. I'm thinking about building something of poster board reinforced with lathe strips that will cover the intake but leave the controls accessible. I can't put anything in front of the louvers because it'll just get blown away.

The problem with disguising it is doing it in such a way as not to block the air intake, which is most of the front. It's only a couple of inches from the track.

Problem is everytime a train runs by the air conditioner it blows it off the track which requires an 0-5-0 to get it back on Tongue [:P]

I don't have any problem with cars being blown off the track. All fast moving air is at the top of the unit.
