I grew up in Milford, on the now CSX Saginaw Sub. Now live in northern NY, though.

I live in Iowa. The most boring state in the U.S. We spend the summer watching corn stalk races.[:D][:D]

I live in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. We Minnesotans tell jokes about Iowans... and Iowans tell them about us. Kind of shows that neither one of us has a danged thing to do. [(-D]

I live in cenral Missouri--just about as midwest as one can get. Rolling hills, cattle, trees--and not that many people to get in the way of my train watching.

I'm also in Iowa, but a Nebraskan at heart. My wife and I are both from there. About 4 years to go and I would love to go to the southwest. NM or AZ. I have never seen such beautiful country.

I live in Carrollton, Illinois, which is about as boring as Iowa. Not a thing to do all year but work or build railroad car kits. Since the only city anyone has ever heard of that's located in Illinois is Chicago, I'll say that Carrollton is roughly 60-70 miles north of St. Louis. Carrollton is on the Kansas City Southern's Gateway Western division with BNSF trackage rights.

Whitewater Wi. in the southeastern part of the state . PS; Fiatfan, I noticed on your reply that you like the AZ / NM area , If you ever get down to Socorro NM. go west on hwy 60 about 60 mi. to the VLA site. " Very Large Aray " You should see the rail line that the radio telescope dishes move on . Double track for one mover, the dishes are so huge that they need two tracks to move them. I was lucky to see a mover in action one time. Here's the site ( www.vla.nrao.edu )

Cincinnati, Ohio. As far as the "real" midwest is concerned, we are a remote outpost on the border with Appalachia. To the west of me are corn-hicks, to the east are coal-hicks. And, of course, there's Kentucky, which if pronounced correctly has the word "hick" in its name.

Never heard anyone call Scale Model "The Dungeon" before, but I won't argue either. Did you know that in a past life it was a bowling alley. It does have a rather musty smell, but don't tell Doug I said so.[:P][(-D][(-D][(-D][(-D][:-^][swg]
