I am looking to buy some brass locomotives and was wondering if I could send away for a catalog?
Or is there any good that have a lot of brass locomotives?

Brass catalogs were big back in 1970 or so, but they only showed the models that were going to be built or had been offered. Today, Brass Trains has a new book but it is for items already made and it gives a price list for general comparison.
Today you can find used brass or new future brass on web pages like Thecaboose, or Caboose Hobbies, The Original Whistle Stop, Railroad Hobbies or a few other good brass shops. There are a few more but you will have to search for them under brass trains and most have pictures and descriptions. Some have fairly good deals but in general, the prices are high since most of the models are fairly rare overall. I personally like the three I listes but have purchased from many others over the years.

The "Brown Book of Brass Locomotives, 3rd edition", which is now out of print, is a good resource. It can still be found on e-bay and some RR online book stores.
If you are interested e-mail me and I can give you a contact.
