Hi,
I'm currently building the lightning for my tripledecker. So far I've gone with normal incandescent light bulbs so that I can dim them for night running. But I have an idea. I could use LED lightning strings instead of the dimming. Run them separately from the normal bulbs and get a nice blue light for night running. Anyone out here doing this or have any experience from it?
In my mind it looks like a real nice idea with some really cool effects created. The layout would be almost dark with just the houses, trains and other layout features casting a clear light on things.
The lights are about 30-40 cm from the layout and only the top two levels would use this. The lowest one is staging.
So, any opinions?
Magnus
I'm using blue rope light for night lighting on the layout. I have it on a dimmer so that I can control the amout of light. The efect looks like this:
Here is a photo of the installation.
