Heres a few engines I have done.
The one is for a guy that wanted his just all beat up. Use to be a BRIGHT green. I think it turned out real good.
The next one is a beat up CSX with a old turbo fire. I sold my SP engine (I showed some pictures of it on here) on eBay awhile back, and was flooded with emails on when I am doing another engine. People liked the SP look...........So I gave this one a really good used look.

Looks like a GP20 to me... no idea on the railroad. You can make out some sort of maple leaf logo on the last photo...

Yep, looks like a GP20. A GP35 would have 2 large fans, and a small one in the middle, O o O, over the radiator.

I've spent the last couple of days assembling and painting two Tichy water columns and an oil column to add a bit more realism to my SP 1950s-themed layout:

Hello looking good so far. This is my forgotten steamer. It is setting on some old trucks and missing a lot of parts. The tree growing form the window is my first try at making one it's ok I need more practice on those. Have a nice weekend Frank

We have a winner!!! It's a Hudson Bay, and its a GP20. Sorry for not responding. Had to make a trip to the hobby store. Ran out of cars to do.

Ran out of cars to do.
Just a suggestion: You might want to make the numbers and reporting marks look "cleaned" by the shop crew, as the FRA would probably bad-order such a grimy unit. Great job though! Puts my rust buckets to shame! This is about as dirty as they get for me...

Hello yea it needs a lot of rust. Jeff you did a great job on those projects. I got my idea from the first time you posted that loco. Thank you. But I did not it to look just like yours. So I will give a light coat so it looks like it's not been there to long. It is a Roundhouse 0-6-0 . Thanks Frank
Great work so far, everyone. I'll have some pictures later. For now, enjoy this one:

Here is my MDC/Roundhouse 2-6-2:
B.T.W, The loco isn't finished in the pic, but it is 98% finished. Just need to put the motor in.
I wanted to share my latest summer project with you. This spreader has been sitting on my friends workbench for years and I am going to finish it up for him. He is an avid Santa Fe fan, so this spreader will be based off of the prototype. Here is a brief history from the Santa Fe Railways' Work Equipment Cars reference book by W. W. Childers:"A ballast spreader is a car equipped with blades and/ or wings used for spreading or trimming ballast. Besides ballast work, the spreader can clean out ditches, widen embankments, uproot vegetation, track flanging, go head-to-head with snowdrifts and a host of other functions. The Santa Fe purchased thier first spreader in November 1907 from the MannMcCann Company. Since 1918, the O. F. Jordan Company has been the exclusive supplier of spreaders for the Santa Fe."Here is a picture of the prototype 166241.
And here is the progress so far. There is a lot of work left to be done, but it is coming along.

My contribution this weekend is my first shot at painting HO scale people. Here are twin conductors/switchmen.
And getting ready to jump off WSOR 3802:
Here's a few pictures of my progress. This is my first ever layout. So far it's been a learning experience!
This one I attempted a digital sky... It's not bad for a first try I think.
I still have a lot of details and things to do.
Here's my latest project a yard locomotive service center and a tunnel exiting the lower level...chuck

I really like the "lay of the land" so to speak. Very natural in appearance!
You've avoided the look of the flat board world so common to so many first time layouts.
Well done!

Nice work Chuck!
Great job NYC for a first attempt !
I started weathering some locos and am using my old DC locos for practice
unlike some I tend to keep them on the clean side till my skills improve
before
after just a simple ink wash and painting the trucks and couplers
I used this photo from the Chessie archives as a sample

cwclark, that locomotive in the center of the shot, is that a SDP45? I was going to say it was a SD45X, but they had 4 radiator fans.
Nice work everyone - thanks for contributing. NewYorkCentral that's a great job - all the more so for a first effort.
A couple of weeks ago I mentioned here that I had made the switch to steam, at least for a while. Here are a few pics of that...a combination of Spectrum and Proto this time, plus a beautiful 2-6-6-2 in brass... United / PFM Sierra RR, bought by my Dad - late 60s is my guess - and she runs like a charm. Interesting dark patina that I don't see on any of my other brass.
