Sadly, the trailers don't look anything like that anymore. Tagged, vandalized, stripped of parts....
If only they could get them back on the road, instead of sitting in Chicago, etc

In Elliot's Diner, we talked about chapel cars. (If you google "chapel cars" you should be able to obtain good information on such cars.)
These pictures show the results of my efforts to build one. It's fictional chapel car. I made it from the Roundhouse Palace Cars observation kit. I am opperating it as a short, special train. A gas electric motor car is all that's needed. Alternatively, i can use my 2-6-2 with a combine to provide a place for railroad crews to ride. A caboose would do also.

Well the security gurads at Fred's were busy today. They first caught this tresspasser on security camera, then gave chase.
They contacted the hostler who quickly spotted a V&AL E-7 in the tresspassers path. The nimble tresspasser merely went OVER the larger locomotive...
He then climbed the roof of the truck repair shop:
Unfortunatly the tresspasser was too busy looking behind him that he never saw the oncomming TX&GC weekly run-through:
This is why they have "NO TRESSPASSING" signs up at busy rail yards...
We will never know why this spider had to run from the security guards. Another young life cut tragicaly short.
Nothing from my layout, but here's a railfan photo I took this week while standing 1,053 feet above the river.....

I knew you would get that one. I can back-date my train to the late '50s (my layout's era), but am liking the "Big Jacks" right now. They don't fit my era, but I couldn't pass them up!!
The baggage/dorm is a bit blurry in your pic, but it still looks great!! I recall when you started that project.
Now, on to drinkin' beer and working on the Sunset Limited.

I can't believe how much stiff is already showing this week.
Over the past week I've worked on the large warehouse, a Walther's double track warren truss bridge, and I did some scenery on the club layout around the area of my bridge overpass I built.
I put on all the cornices and bricked up some windows.
Here's the warren truss bridge. A nice kit to build.
Here's the scenery at the club. It's just the beginning base textures. A lot still to do. One of the main things is to sand down those bumps in the road. A quick VIDEO of the area.
Here's a really nice kit a guy at my club built and donated. His name is Dick Miller. He has some really nice skills. Next to this area he started some scenery. You can see that in these VIDEO 1 and VIDEO 2.
That's it for now.
Keep the axels greased and the tender full, we're rollin' now.

Thank you, sir. I like what you did with it. I think that the light as such would just be reflecting off of the inner wall right in front of the tunnel mouth at that point.

Great stuff. I have been trying to learn how to paint with a spray can. Tom said I could. Here is the black on my Shay. It has been waiting since 1967. It will get a decoder with lights but no sound. Also my Penn Central with its first assignment.
