My first one is in one of the issues there was an article about how to apply balist. Can anyone tell me what the mixture he used was?
The second one is I'm building my 1st module using NTrack and was wondering how far do you end the track/roadben from the end?
Welcome to the forum.
There is lots of info on ballast out there.
As for NTrack, you may want to check the actual specs at http://www.ntrak.org/index.htm.
Sorry, I am not an N scaler so can not offer much more than that. Hopefully some of the good N's will be along to help out.
thanks for trying
The roadbed should be 'flush' with the end of the module. The track ends about 2.5" from the end so that a 5" section of Atlas track can be used to bridge the connection.

Reality Reduced is a series of online podcasts by Leo Bicknell. He has one episode on ballasting, in which he gives his mixture information. Another is on wiring NTrak modules.
Here's my list of links to the individual episodes:

Do you happen to know what software is needed to play those podcasts on a PC? I can't seem to get them to load and play.(Quicktime??)
The pages with the videos have a pull down menu that let's you select MPEG 4 or Flash video.
