Working Caboose (Updated)
Posted by challenger3802 on Friday, May 9, 2008 3:48 PM

Cast your minds back a year or so and I was in the initial stages of building an HO gauge working caboose.  Well roll on one year (ish) and the caboose is painted and equipped for use.  See pictures below, personally I'm pleased with the results.

I presume this would be part of a work train, and there you are, parked in the middle of nowhere, all alone.  Where is the remainder of its train (supply and equipment cars, perhaps, crane, bunk and kitchen cars)?  Get yourself on a spur, you're bound to hold up traffic while only capable of minimal repair.

Ian: Yes I do remember you starting this project.....It turned out looking very nice!

And as Mark wrote; are you building other MOW cars to go with it?

Thanks for the advice on other cars to put with this one.  I've got hold of a crane and the hoppers I built will go nicely as material supply cars.  Now I just need to build a bunk and kitchen car.

Ian

There are 3 cars identical to this one.
