Forget the layout, I wanna see where you get yer shirts from...
Have fun with your trains
Since there are so many Musicians hanging around here, I thought I would post one of what happens to old singers (Eastman School '68) when both their voices and ears get worn out (Actually the voice is just fine, the ears are just about shot and I can't sing well with the hearing aids...)
This shot (at least the old connie) seems to be popular here:
Ray Seneca Lake, Ontario, and Western R.R. (S.L.O.&W.) in HO
We'll get there sooner or later!

A generic hearing aid won't do that for you; essentially what I'm talking about is a hearing aid that works in multiple bands. A regular audiologist won't really be able to help you; get one that specializes in working with musicians (they do exist). It will take a little bit of looking but will be worth it. Take it from a long time (50 year+) musician.
I go to a lady who has a doctorate in Audiology and is thee best around these parts. I have Seimens Digital Music Pro(s) with 3 different settings built in. I could sing with them but the problem is it just doesn't sound right and it's not fun to sing. I sound way too loud to myself. I still can sing without the hearing aids, but as I said no longer "fun" to sing..... You are absolutely right about going to someone who really knows what they are doing, she does work with some musicians as a part of her business BTW. Unfortunately I probably would have to drive or fly several hundred miles to get a "specialist" and I really don't plan on singing for a career anyway (retired school music teacher having too much fun doing other things at this time of life). I have just purchased my 3rd. and last Classical Guitar, a Spanish Cordoba hand made with built in electronics. So I am very content to get going and get the guitar back under my fingers.
Thanks for the suggestion!
You been working out, Aggro?

Hey Guys...LOOK, one of those rare Female Model Rail Roaders....see, I told you there were some out there.....now if we can just attract more to the site we might have some new ideas here....not that we don't, but I'm getting kind of tired of the tree house being filled with just boys!
I'm going to take down the "Boys Club" sign and put up a new one! "Boys need Girls on trains", ahhh, growing up, priceless!!!

Or even 2:1. LOL I was wondering how he does those fine weathering details with guns like that.
Now you people know why I never argue with Aggro if we end up at our LHS at the same time looking at the same locomotive!

packers#1...you ARE a young'n!
1969 Camaro SS/(RS?)
Looks pretty sano outside! Red line tires, dog dish hub caps, (non)-vented hood.
Sweet ride!
I'll bet Jep can fill us in on the details.

Thanks guys, good eye Rotor...I can't really add many details that won't bore everyone here to tears. It is an all original 69 SS/RS 350 Camaro...and give Packers#1 a break, I can't tell you how many people want to know what year my Mustang is and to keep this train related I have crossed railroad tracks in it and have driven it to a hobby shop or two . Also it's the reason I won't have a layout in my new one bedroom condo...the garage is saved for the Camaro and there is nowhere else to put a layout.
jep1267-LOVE the stock rim, red line look!!! VERY classy!
(Chevelle??? It's obviously a Nova!)

In my day we called those stock hub caps "Poverty-caps".
They are really cool now though.

It's quite easy Irv, Just set up a Photobucket account...its free...upload your pictures to them. When you veiw your "album" there will be a list under each photo, just paste the image code into your message. It should be [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/......etc.
