CA adhesives
Posted by jerryl on Thursday, March 27, 2008 6:10 PM
Some CA adhesives are labeled for hobby use & some are not. Our local craft sells CA for much less than the LHS, but not the same brand.  My guess is that CA is CA & any brand should work as well as any other brand. If this is so, the craft store gets my business, especially when I get a 40% off coupon. I realize that the brands in the LHS gives you a choice in thickness as the craft store brand seems to be between thin & medium.

I get my thick CA at Rocklers woodworking. It was designed for woodshops, but is more than worth the little extra when combined with the accelerant.
If you think you have it right, your standards are too low. my photos http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a235/ARTHILL/ Art

When you say it is designed for woodshops, does that mean that it somehow better for joining wood because of the formula or only because of the thickness?

I think I heard that talc is added as a thickener.
