A LifeLike SW-9 would be appropriate. http://tinyurl.com/2pbxje

If you can find an old Arnold ALCO S-2, that'd be appropriate.

UP had USRA 0-6-0's that survived to the early/mid 50's IIRC.

If you can find an Atlas VO-1000 from the 2004 run, it'll fit. http://www.atlasrr.com/Images/NLocomotives/nvo1000/51030.jpg

Hope this helps.

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

You could also use a 2-8-0, I have never seen a affordable example of a Harriman consolidation in N, but i'm sure you could come close. Some the last steam power in secondary service on the UP were the 2-8-0 and 0-6-0, they were economical to operate/maintain and easy to store for future use...

SP the way it was in S scale
