I cant think of anything else to say, the listing says it all.
"Rust, whats not to love?"
What a beauty!!!
If it wasn't for the fact that I wasn't planning a train wreck, I'd snap that one up.

Brought to you by the letters C.P.R. as well as D&H!

Well, I'll watch how far that goes, then I'll sell this for just as much:
People will seriously by a powered engine, a dummy enigne and a caboose for $60.00. Should have sold my 2 sets for 60 instead of 15 for both. Midn you the engines will only pull the dummy, a caboose and 4 cars.

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

Wow I want to buy three Seriously I saw a first run Prot GP18 you know the ones in the brown boxes that basically always had gear problems.Well there was an auction likely ended last night for a CN one with the slanted lownose and there was a huge bid war going on on it. It was upto $2oo and climbing wow for something that cost $60 brand new up here. No sound no weathering just the stock first run proto GP18,mind you seller did say it was a rare out of production model so of coarse the $200 was a steal ( tongue frimly in cheek )

Naw! That's definitely the "Buried in the Flower Box" method!

It is powered and runs pretty well for what it is. I honestly don't know what else to do with it.
I wonder if fine hand rails would help

To blazes with the locomotive. I want to see what's left of the low-boy and bulldozer it hit.

Weathering technique for eBayers:
1. Take one cheapie Life-Like GP38, any condition.
2. Stuff it inside an old gym sock, and smash it against desk, pavement, or people you don't like.
3. Bury remains in the backyard, then dig up after 2 months. Earthworms a plus!
4. Photograph and submit to auction. Watch the bids roll in! (Or perhaps not... )

The seller notes that it's powered. Is it my eyes, or do those wheels on the truck without the sideframe look like plastic...
Looks like my son took it out with his Tonka trucks and played bury the train!
No handrails, a missing left front truck sideframe, plastic wheels on the front truck, but the headlight works. What a bargain! That's probably the only thing that works.
Now guys, you know those Tyco collectors are lining up for this one.ANDJust think how nice it will look in a museum quality case....

For all that, it's not a GENYOOWINE 1966 Athearn SD-45 numbered 1762 given to him by his dad, so at most it's worth $750 tops.

Don't do THAT! Unlike oranges, a GP 38 would leave marks...
I love the fact that it's got a C-6 rating. It looks like an old Athearn shell, but I can't think of any powered locos with plastic wheels like that. Looks like dummy axles.

It's a Life-Like cheapie. That's not an Athearn shell (you can see the big handrail stanchion holes).
I can think of a few things to say...unfortunately, they're not repeatable over here :p
"Very Good Condition?" Are you kidding me? If lacking a sideframe means the engine is in "very good condition" what does that my dead Tyco C-425 ? That's been stripped of most parts, doesn't run, and is currently wearing a coat of primer. Oh, and it's been dropped a few times...

It's a typical Tyco drive where the front plastic wheels have traction tires on them and are the driven wheels, and the rear truck has metal wheels for electrical pickup.
Hi,
I recently bought a Bachmann Spectrum GE 44Ton loco that was beat up and did not run, and paid $7 for it. To me it was a great deal because it had the parts (side frames, motor assembly) to allow repair of my ATSF loco that I dropped IMMEDIATELY after I finished painting the super details I applied.
My point is that while this GP is "garbage" to many MRs, it may be just the thing that someone needs to repair his/her damaged loco. That being said, it really does look like junque!
ENJOY,

I like the coffee spill weather job....
I think the original owner was modeling an engine after it hit the track bumper and caught fire.
yerright, good for parts or the scrapyard, but wouldnt work for me, out of my era...8-P
SOmeone had a couple of LL 0-8-0's on ebay for sale, one wad DROPPED on the floor, lots of parts flew off, but also sold another PERFECT shape along with it. 80 bucks for both was a GREAT deal I got. The smuckered engine is fixable. the working engine...perfect.
