Turnout jig
Posted by RickyRails on Thursday, January 17, 2008 1:33 PM

Hello... I am trying to locate the manufacturer of turnout jigs which were made from machines metal. I just moved and do not have all of my back issues with me. I did not see the manufacturer in recent issues. I know that the jigs were offered in most scales. The jigs had machined slots in which you laid the rail pieces. Then you soldered PC ties or temporary metal strips accross the rails before moving to the layout. I am interested in obtaining a set for On30 number 5 or 6 frogs. If anyone has any info I would be very greatful.

Sincerely,

Richard Bell

I believe you're thinking of Fast Tracks. They make jigs for all kinds of turnouts. Google them, I know they have a web site but don't know the exact address.

One note, it is not a good idea to give that much personal info on any forum.

RickyRails.

Try www.fasttracks.com

I am not quite sure if that is the correct Website address, but the company name is, "Fast Tracks".

I hope that this helps.

Edit.  Sign - Welcome [#welcome]  and I agree with the previous poster re. personal information. You just never know who is lurking in the shadows, but I wouldn't think that you would have any problems with the regulars who frequent this site.
