What is the difference between a #6 double switch and a #6 double slip switch? They are both crossovers.Walthers has both in their Shinohara code 83 DCC line.

A double slip switch is NOT a crossover.  A crossover is a connection between two ajacent tracks.  A double slip switch is crossing (not a crossover) that allows movements between routes.  You can make simulatenous parallel movements through a crossover (both trains running normal).  You cannot move two trains simultaneously through a double slip switch.
