Changing my avatar

My avatar is marked "Change avatars locked"  I'm currently using a Christmas cartoon for an avatar and it's a bit past Christmas!  How do I get the change unlocked?

Now it says "Remote avatars disabled"  I've changed avatars before - Thanks anyway

Try to upload a new avatar to the forum site instead of using one from off site????

Duh!  I finally figured it out!!  Thanks to all who tried to help this !!

Are you on the inside or the outside of those bars??

INSIDE!!  Fortunately it's a tourist attraction!  (I think the "old lady" would like to see me in a real one when she sees "another new train"!!)
