Traveling Layout North Little Rock Arkansas -a brief video visit.
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, December 30, 2007 6:47 PM

Today I visited the local Traveling Layout of North Little Rock Arkansas toting my camcorder. Ive been chasing this particular club through several years and across a few shows but never really seeing the correct lighting to shoot properly.

I did not bring my tripod and now regret that. Then again there was not much floor space and it would have gotten in the way.

Anyhow, I processed it down to a 85 meg file, uploaded as a 20 meg file (It was a 4 gig file off the tape) Hopefully the quality didnt suffer too much and that Dailups can still enjoy it. It is my opinion that the flash conversion killed too much of the quality. I will seek out another free hoster that will retain the native WMV format.

This layout is analog only. I think it does a good job showing the People who visit what trains are all about. More importantly, I was able to finally shoot the place and get lots of material. Apologies in advance for any amateur video problems.

It is my understanding that the Arkansas Valley Model Railroad Club has a place down by the river and the pernament layout there once hosted Operating sessions. The Modular railroad you see here has done much travelling over the years and shows improvements across the board. It is not perfect and there is always something new to see and show.

Enjoy!

Falls Valley ; Thanks for posting the video. I had not seen the group in years. Used to hang out with them and set up an 'O' gauge lay out with them. Again thanks, and Happy New Year to all!
