Converting Shinohara HOn3 turnouts for DCC??
Posted by Peteblake on Sunday, December 9, 2007 4:35 AM

Hello everyone, hope you accept this as a topic inthis section.

Does anyone know how to make Shino's dual-guage turn-outs good for DCC(HO/HOn3) I've looked underneath and between the track base but cannot see any wiring links. My thoughts at the moment are running in the direction of cutting the rails with a slitting disc to isolate the frogs, soldering droppers and changing the closure rail tie-bar with one made from copper coated paxolin (used over here to construct our own trackwork) with the copper coating cut for isolating the three closure rails.
