Lots of great photos this weekend, all.

Bruce,  You are up to it again.   Background blends nicely.

Lots of fun seeing everyone's work.

Here's an "old" photo of a scene on my n-scale layout.

I use Photobucket for all my photos and have had no problems as long as I use the IMG tags. If I use the HTML code tags it's often hit or miss.

The last four days, or so, photobucket contributions have often shown up as red X's, or taken an inordinate amount of time to load, and not just on this forum.  Is it me, or what is going on?  Brakie's last two came up as X's by the time I lost patience and initiated this post.  Maybe they'll be up when I post this and return to the thread.

Edit - nope.  I left the thread and re-entered to reload, but not even red X's this time.

I'm a bit late as I've been busy painting all weekend.  No, not a loco, layout scenery, or rolling stock- just my family room.  Thrilling work...Zzz [zzz]

A mountain pass on my layout in N-scale.  Backdrop is digitally added.

Rick, Hawks, TrainMan Ty:

Thanks for your kind words.  Maybe it looks better in pictures than in real life! LOL.  Anyway, thanks again for your encouragement.

Tyler, I see the pic of the New Poland station just fine (nice).

Cheers.

I think it looks fine! Other people have different perspectives, I weathered my Atlas SDP35, and I thought it came out okay, as the weathering on the trucks was kinda focused of a few spots, and there was a patch on the long hood that looked like the cleaners missed it, but my brother said he loved it even more than my Atlas U23B which I though came out awsome!

I'll be happy to take it off your hands if you want, give it a home where it can run, yuou know..........Big Smile [:D]

Great stuff as usual everyone!!!Thumbs Up [tup]

Oh, can anyone actually see my photo on page 2? I'm getting a little red X......Banged Head [banghead]

I agree, it looks pretty good. I've seen plenty of the SOO SD60's go past my place and they look basically like that. Very nice work.

This yard shack is what I,m working on this weekend. Needs a fence and more junk and looks like I will have to start weathering some rails.

Well for the past couple months I've been working on a Diorama of mine. I would like to get some more supplies for scenery, maybe even ballast tomorrow (I know, I'm dreaming). Hopefully I can get some pictures on Sunday. Hopefully it doesn't snow.

That's kind of like what I want to make over winter break. Just something to look at and better my very minimal skills. Try and make something that looks respectable. Very nice start.

Thanks. It dosn't take muck to build. It took me a day to build the "bench work" and add the foam on top. One thing through don't use the White foam. It's messy to work with.

Great stuff as always.  I've been adding a new industrial spur this week, but until I receive and build the structure I ordered for that effort, there's not much point in showing it.

The SOO is an old Athearn SD40 that I rarely run.  I decided to practise some weathering on a "junk" engine before I took a crack at Atlas and Kato stuff, and figured that, being white, it would be a good specimen to experiment on.  I was surprised to see that I had already had this same idea many years ago - when I pulled it from its box I saw that I had already tried to weather this engine years ago - and botched it up pretty badly.  What you see is a an attempt to salvage it, but I think it's still a botched job.  Live and learn.

These are a couple from the archives that I haven't shown before, and yes, I used photoshop for the sky and part of the hill in the head-on shot.

Salutations and appreciation to all you folks, past and present, in the armed forces.

Cheers.

Lots of great pixs this week. I too love that lumberyard very realistic looking.

My contribution to this weeks modeling madness is the final throws of my strip mall project. Not quite done but getting there. Store signs still need to be invented.

Great photo's as usual.  Makes me look at how much I don't work on my layout, when I see how much progress alot of you all have made on your layout each week.  I have been working on another southern car of mine.  I gave it alittle dust and grime, and added a custom load.  I am still messing around with the camera as far as croping, brightness, etc.

Very quiet...must be the holiday weekend thing.  So, if it won't be overstepping, I'll post some more images.

This last one is an attempt to simulate a night shot.  I call it Last Light at Seneca Falls.  I havent gotten into the details of setting the shutter speed and iris on my camera, so this had to be done in low light.  Depending on your monitor and settings, it may seem too dark to see much at all, but on my monitor it shows the engine clearly, if quite darkly.  Anyway, I hope it works for you.

It's just the picture. All three of those tracks are level and on the same plane.

WOW! What scale is that, UKguy?? I could never put induvidual nails in stuff like that!

Jacon; amazing shot!

Selector; I love the tunnel photo!

I don't beleive I've posted this before:

The depot is too close to the tracks, a fact I discovreed when my CP wide vision caboose scraped it! Nothing else hits it though........ I don't have problems with it, just annoying. Unfortunatly, I installed scenery and glued it down before I discovered this, so now the depot is permanatly connected to the ground!Whistling [:-^]
