Dallas--
Actually, that was an improvement on the original Pachelbel, as far as I'm concerned, LOL! It's actually "Baroque" rock. The "Classical" era in music was from about 1750 to 1820 or so, and mainly consisted of the composers Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. Pachelbel was earlier--back when people wrote music for Noblemen to talk over while they sawed away in the background. There, now we've all had our Music History Lesson for the day, LOL!
Tom View my layout photos! http://s299.photobucket.com/albums/mm310/TWhite-014/Rio%20Grande%20Yuba%20River%20Sub One can NEVER have too many Articulateds!
SOMETHING TO GET THE BLOOD PUMPING!!!
... like the 1st and 4th movements of Beethoven symphonies (especially the odd numbered ones); or Beethoven overtures - Lenora 1, 2, 3 and Fidelio are real barn burners!
Mendelsshon'S Italian Symphony, Mozart later symphonies (#25 and up) and overtures.
If these don't get you cranking... better check for a pulse!
50's music because that is when I started my first layout, which I am now finishing
And I have a CD of train songs.
TWhite, nice lesson. I do listen to my LP's of classical on occassion.

I think we have a cd at home with different versions: Pachelbel's Grastest Hit!
Jeff But it's a dry heat!

Hardcoal--YEAH!!
WARNING: Never, NEVER run your Crack Passenger Limited while listening to the final movement of the Beethoven 7th Symphony--it could be REALLY disasterous when the train hits that first curve, LOL!
AM Radio. Rush, Michael Savage, Mike Gallager. I know, I'm holding a big fat L over my forehead. :)

I WISH I could listen to the Steeler games.
If the race is on and the Hendrick cars aren't cheating their way to a stolen win, I'll have the tv on that. Otherwise Def Leppard, Evanescence, Metallica, Nickelback, Motley Crue. You get the picture.
WHD the displaced Steeler fan
All right -- it's Baroque n' Roll then!

Nothing wrong with Michael Savage, he tells it like it is.I listen to him or listen to my XM radio, sometimes books on CD.Also like the Michael Reagan show.
Sometimes tune in the 40's channel on XM, and listen to stuff like Glenn Miller, goes good with my 40-50's era Pennsy layout.
And in the morning the G-Man!!!!! G. Gordon Liddy.
Sure do miss Art Bell.George Noory is too hung up on ghosts and weird stuff.

Savage isn't bad provided he didn't have a bad meal before the show. I can't get Coast 2 Coast here. And I'm NOT gonna pay to stream it.

If it is in the day time (I'm retired) I listen to conservative talk radio, Christian radio, sports radio or NPR for their classical music (not their news). At night I have the TV on, if its a ball game, if not whatever is interesting. Nothing interesting after 8 tonight, so I had a soccer game on. I didn't really pay much attention to it. Somebody beat somebody else 1-0. Whoope, I was underwhelmed! I got started on cleaning up my train room.
Most of my music is now on hard drives (3500 albums) in .ape format, some from CDs, some from LPs and some (legally) downloaded and streamed through the whole house.
My tastes run run the gammut, except for metal and rap. My collection is about 60% Rock -'50s thru '07, 35% Jazz, 15% Classical. With it all digitized I can listen any way the mood strikes me, or on race day watch/listen to the car races (Go Hendrick!) thru the HTPC.
Listening to: 'Medley: Let the Good Times Roll/A Change Is Gonna Come/Bring It on Home' from 'Raisin' Hell' by 'Elvin Bishop' on JRMC's Media Center 12.

HMMMM I had no idea Limbaugh was a dirigible.....He used to be a big guy, but I thought he lost weight.
The ''Flaming Nazi Gasbag'' remark DID remind me of someone though......John Edwards!

I usually work on kits at the kitchen table on Saturday night. I like to listen to Randy Bachman's CBC Radio Show "Vinyl Tap" while I work. Good variety, fun stories.
