Starting this Saturday November 10, 2007 Milwaukee's Trainfest 2007 will be up and running again. It is billed as the "America's Largest Operating Model Railroad Show". Last year there was record attendance. Lots of operting layouts of all scales. Plus dealers, historical societies, and manufacturers. All of this takes place at Wisconsin State Fair Park Exposition Center. Check it out at www.trainfest.com
Now the real interesting part. The last couple of years we have had a gathering of Forum members from the "TRAINS".com forum. Last year we had 12 members get together for a photo, plus you can put a face with a sign-on name. This year we decided to post in some of the other forums to see if the interest is there to get more people.
As of right now we would be looking at a photo get together probably around 2pm or 3pm at the Kalmbach booth at Trainfest. One of our members dknelson brings his little sign and we all line up for a mugshot.
I will try and post the exact time for the meet very soon. Otherwise I will probably be at Trainfest all day at the Milwaukee N Southeastern club layout.
Also several club layouts will be open after Trainfest including North American Prototype Modelers www.napmltd.org , Milwaukee Union Terminal and Milwaukee N Southeastern www.mnse.org
