I use the Yahoo browser that does a good job, but sadly spell check is something I stopped using back in high school. The teachers would remove it so they dont get presented with perfect papers with nothing to grade.
I found Mozilla to be a good browser for a number of years but now is suffering creeping addons that do the things it used to do years ago. I uninstalled it and put a old Opera Browser instead on the machine.
Linux is the better operating system for the Mozilla in my humble opinion.

The Google Toolbar with Spell Check has a Fire Fox version too. I use the IE version and it works great. (look at the bottom right corner of the site)
Yahoo has a browser???(or do you mean their search engine?)

I've been thinking about using Firefox, I hear a lot of people prefer it after they switch over.
That is what I usually do too. Most of the people that complain are hippocrits. Everyone makes mistakes of all kinds, spelling especially.

I've been using Firefox for about a year or so now & it blows IE away big time (at least with my computer IMO.)
I didn't have spell check with FF initially, but now I do-I -think- it may have came & started up with a FF update about a month or so ago. I don't know where the feature is to turn on/off, then again, I haven't looked either. Oh well.
Pathfinder wrote:I have been using Firefox for quite a while. On all the other forum I am on, the spell check works, it is just the software that Kalmbach is using that does not support the Firefox spell check for some reason, as well as some other features like mouse right click cut/paste.
Yes, the problem is the Forum software, not Firefox. If you ever edit your post, the post pops up for just a second where you can see the work of the spellcheck and then changes to a different format. If they left it in the first format, the spellcheck would work as it does across the street. Oh and yes Firefox blows Internet exploder out of the water!!!

jeffrey-wimberly wrote:I noticed also that the Firefox spell-checker leaves a lot to be desired and noticed too that copy and paste don't work. I found a way around this that works for me. I installed the 'IE-Tab' add-on for Firefox. For reading what's on the forum I use Firefox, when I want to post something or do a copy and paste I just click the appropriate icon in the status bar and flip from Firefox to IE. This gives me the copy and paste functions as well as full use of my 'IESpell' spell-checker. When all is complete, I post my reply or topic and click back over to Firefox. It's quick and easy and I don't need two browsers running at once to do it.
Thanks Jeff, I found the IE tab thing you are talking about and downloaded it.I'll see if it workss for me.

I usually write any long posts or replies in msword and then paste it here. Can’t beat that spell checker I think. ctrl+v works just fine. other than that, if i write direct, t hen a fwe typos creep ni.

Someone could use a grammar checker too - double negative!

As someone mentioned, the right click copy paste and cut commands don't work with the forum software. However, the keboard short cuts continue to work well.
Ctrl+A = select all
Ctrl+C = Copy
Crtl+X = Cut
Ctrl+V = Paste
