Has anyone ever dealt with or know someone who has dealt with them in the past? Are they good and reliable? I ask because they have the best price I've found on a certain locomotive.

Wholesale Trains in Horsehead, NY. I have dealt with them in the past. I have also been to their store. They seem to be very nice people. I always placed my orders via the phone.
They have a web site and you can order through that too. I don't like using web sites to place an order. I want to talk to a person, ask questions and get their name and information such as is the item in stock and when will it ship.
I have not bought anything in the past 4 years from them.
Hoople,
I've also been to the store and the people were helpful and knowledgeable (sp). Haven't been to the web site to order so you are better calling as suggested. Make sure the web price is what you pay when phoning in and since you are on the other end of the country get a shipping bid as well. Otherwise no problems. J.R.
I ordered a Bachmann E-Z Command from them 2-1/2 years ago because it was nearly 1/2 MSRP. And I ordered it over the Internet with no problems. Their service was fast, too. It was in hand in just a few short days.
As far as discounted prices, M.B. Klein and Trainworld are also worth checking out.

Tstage, thanks. I think I'll call and ask if it's in stock then order online.
BTW, I checked MB klein and trainworld. They came in 2nd and 3rd for the Blueline big boy. Wholesale won by $20 at $260. I don't know what the member's price would be. I would guess maybe $200-$220.

Yes. It took two months to get some 'in stock' items from them. Otherwise, service was reasonably fast and courteous.
