Potential Atlas C420 Issue (?) ....
Posted by Mark R. on Thursday, August 23, 2007 1:36 PM

A friend of mine in PA and my self here in Canada have nine of the new C420's between us exhibiting the same problem. They all run fine on straight DC (these are non-sound units). When placed on a DCC equipped layout to run on DCC address 00, everyone of them shorts out the system - all nine engines on two different layout !?!

With a plug-n-play decoder installed on the factory board, they appear to have a very high current draw and will shut down the system at higher throttle settings when two or three are mu'd.

Are we missing something, or what ???

Mark.
