GP-7 Body Shell Removal

Any hints about removing the body shell of an older (item #17718-2) Kato n-scale GP-7? I think it dates from about ten years ago. I no longer have the instruction sheet. The usual slight flaring of the sides to release tabs doesn't seem to work. Thanks in advance for your help.
