Yep, same on NTRES.

Wow I haven't posted here for ages... Not much new in model land, besides saving up for top secret locomotives... Ok, it's not top secret. Just a blueline cab forward and a BLI GS-4 daylight. GO ESPEE!
On the other side of things, I finally got myself a new bass drum head after making a huge hole in it... Whoops.
Heres a random pic of my favorite locomotive...

That's my favorite loco! Same # too!

My entire CSX fleet is from Atlas

I have 1 atlas, an older DRGW GP40 that runs suprisingly well for something from around the 70s. (Has a huge can motor too)
Other than that, I have 5 Bachman FTs (ABA, AB), 1 athearn GP35 dummy (Someone I know is giving me parts from an athearn BB to make it powered), and about 8 P2Ks (2 each SD9, GP9, GP30, U28B; hoping to get SD45s, the U-boats don't pull that well (they pull pretty good, but not alot; like everything else[the GP30s have gone up a helix with a 2% grade, and a 24" radius with 50 cars; most over weight]).

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.
I'd like to get a BN SD45 and patch plus renumber it to WC 6660; the last Green Weenie that was left in Cascade green on the WC. BN/WC 6660 lasted until early 1996, until she got repainted and renumbered to 6497 and later rebuilt with the EM2000 control to 7497. Originally BN 6660 was SLSF (Frisco) 911.
But right now I need to concentrate my funds to other locomotives I need.
I have two Atlas locos; a Chessie System U23B, and a UP SDP35. The U23B will be repainted for the WRS, and the SDP35 will be patched for the WRS.
Nice! That's one more investment I really need to get my layout and roster going, an airbrush.
I'm thinking of getting this, but I don't know yet. Some of my friends say to stay away from double action stuff, but I read it can be operated as a single:

Yup! That U23B is the most used loco on the roster. (so far, that may change once I get my GP9M back; it's a Walthers Trainline, so it's not as well running, but it'll be in my railroad's colors, so that might not make much of a differance! And when/if I get a Spectrum SD45 in WRS colors, that will probably become my favorite.)
RailfanAlex: I have an airbrush, but I don't have the guts to take it out on my equipment... just the clouds... (they're in the background of this shot.) EDIT: Yes, that is a patched CN FP7 coupled to an Amtrak car...it's the HEP unit..because Amtrak had a...a...power shortage... 2306 is pulling the train. That FP7 is now even more weathered and is rusting away at the end of the MOW track, never to be used again...)
I wanted to paint some stuff I have laying around for BN, but I didn't bother and sold it. The local train club has a bunch of athearn BB stuff they are trying to sell (Katy SD40, D&H U33C and U30C, Milwuakkee U25B, NYC F7AB, BN U28B), thinking of getting RPP shells and making a few good units for BN, since most of those units are widebodies.
I'm thinking of getting rid of the atlas GP40 I have, updating it to look good now would be a pain.

I have a few F units that I have dead lined...old tycos that I made into dummies...and some GP9Ms...But I do have a good MILW A+B set that I don't know what to do with. I could get an airbrush and paint it in AC.
I value Athearns, as long as they have body coupler pockets. With a little weathering they look great.
The clouds were made with a stencil for the top, I did freelance-style blend the each cloud (most were made with multiple stencils) together and add a little body to them.
C-C's were probably in the same time, maybe a year or two after the B-B's. Just a guess, I don't feel like research right now...
As for the backdrop Ty, once again, it looks real good!
Now what did you weather that boxcar with?? It looks great!
Seems as though you used a Brown/Black wash.
I'm not good with GEs. Ask me about EMDs and I may know it.

It wasn't much research lol!

Same here. I know some ALCO, but hardly anything about GE.
I know this is a model railroad place but i finally got this pic on the computer. Its me Driving a NS Dash 9! I wish it would have been a BNSF 70MAC but driving a train i'll take what i can get!

How the heck did you get to drive one of those! Nice crew I'm guessing?
BTW, Teen Model Railroader Places counter part Teen Railfan Place is here. TMRP is actually a spin off of TRP that a few forum members (you where in the plan too I think) thought of. lol.

Well a little reasearch has shown that BN got there B30-7s from Frisco, but they did recieve an order of C30-7 in 1976.

Wondering if the RPP C30-7 shell will fit on the Athearn UC frame.
I can't find any info regarding BN ever having B23-7s, but atlas made a model of them for some reason.
