Small Train Show in Evanston,Wy
Posted by tetonjack on Sunday, August 5, 2007 8:02 AM

Just for everyones interest. There was a small train show in Evanston,Wy. It wasn't the dealers or the layout that were the center piece, but the old Evanston Maintenance Yard. They are trying to restore the old yard for everyone to see. There is a complete Round House with a working Turn Table. Just riding around the turn table was great. Got to walk  through the old Round House, you could almost hear the sounds. The yard was built in 1902. It was to be tore down in 1925, but the city got UP to re-think that decision. Yard was a working maintenance until the 70's.

If you are traveling I-80, you might want to stop and look at the place.
