In a completely different direction...

Your building reminded me of two examples with a single name, one prototype and one historical model railroad:

  • Prototype, overlooking New York City's Sunnyside Yard, and
  • Profile model, on Frank Ellison's Delta Lines.

The name?  Sunshine Bakeries.  (Sunshine, from the thousand window bakery.)

Chuck (who just dated himself terribly!)

Well some real world names come to mind from here in Springfield, Ohio... Crowell and Collier Publishers, long out of business. or William Bailey and Co., A maker of annealed steel correctional facility door and window fixtures.

Other than that-

I. P. Nightly- a maker of daybeds.

Huo Flun dung- Oriental wallpaper factory

Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe- Attorney's at law.

Discreet Eructations- a gag factory

Aunt Vickies- adult delights

R. K. Flatter Press and Stamping

its late I need a drink...

Turn you farm into a feed lot, and the building can become the place where they make White Castle frozen hamburgers, or Dinty Moore beef stew, or even Banquet Salisbury Steak TV dinners

Ditch the cows and put in sheep.  Make the building a Haggis factory.  Half of it could be the Wooley Bully Sweater Company.

If you have room elsewhere for an icing station, then you could have a 2-stop industry with ice-bunker reefers and either produce or some kind of meat product.

It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.

Hmm, outside of Charleston along the C&O...

MacCorkle Storage

Captol Manufacturing

Byrd Sausage Company (for like, you know, pork products)

Dunbar Distributing

Goodwin Manufacturing

If it's set in the modern era, SPACE AVAILABLE FOR LEASE might be the best sign to put on it.

With the mirror in the middle, you could name the company MAXXAM, and just mount the billboard letters MAX at the mirror. They could be the printing shop for a publisher of one of those PG-13 "men's" magazinesWhistling [:-^] that receives boxcars of paper rolls and ink. The cow pasture would supply their editorial content!

Hey terrySmile [:)] just thought I would throw a couple of names that come to my mindBanged Head [banghead]because I never win at anything!!! and esspecialy an American flag God bless American  troops.  how about wrinzlers meats? They are well known in the maritime provinces easter Canada for quality valued lower priced meats. and I think they are shiped from alberta. not sure though. seems suitble with the cows in the fore ground  or (heffires)meaning cows.Sign - With Stupid [#wstupid] no effence. I would try, and model the seen as more of a older wharehouse with little traffic to protect the live stock out front ? like a bottle exchange  or something like that. or how about(terrys cardboard recycling). mabye be NOT. I may not win the flag ,but I hope I can help you, send you in a different direction of a fictional layout. as is mine is? I have the same building and I like how you cut it in half, nice job!!.and the mirror kinda threw me off. I like to model my railroad. (fictional some what) but I decided to duplicate places special to me ?people of importance to my life. ie my sons and my girl freind, and they all have a place on my layout. I think that is very special to me. good luck and very best from New brunswick Canada nice postEight Ball [8]rules! the lobster capital of the wolrd !!
