Okay, many poll about favorite locomotives have been posted. But, what is your favorite steam locomotive name? Types like the names "berkshire", "american", or "cabforward". Regardless of you admiring it or not, what do you think is the coolest name? [8D]

This is easy. The one that runs after breakin. The others get shoved to the sidetrack. Then i like to give it a number. My favorite number had my old house address.

Beyer-Garratt, because it is hyphenated, just like the locomotive.
Stephenson's Rocket, because of the grandiose overstatement.
Crokodil, because it amuses me.

"King" or "Castle"

-- and please don't ever refer to those 4 cylinder 4-6-0 speedsters as "ten wheelers" !!

Happy Xmas -- everyone.

I'm partial to the "Selkirk" kind of Majestic like the mountain range it was named after. I'll put Allegheny in second spot. I'm not too enthralled with "Jubilee" though it was a classy little engine to look at.
