Working on the layout & motivation

A chap has said in another thread here that he was having problems being motivated to work on his layout. Below I have presented one solution some have used with success. In essence, twice a year I through a layout "party" where people commit to some objectives over a 6 week period, then report back once a week. Many have found this a "fun" way to do it. You also get to here about other's progress, or lack there of (you are asked to report even if you didn't do any work, and be honest about it). So far I have hosted two of these. Here is a thread to the second one I did: (just do a copy and past into your address area)
http://www.trainboard.com/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=33;t=000178
And if you go into the layout design forum at www.trainboard.com and call up all the past threads, you will find another one called "Lonely Hearts Club Band" which is even a longer thread than the second one.

Note: I haven't started the third thread yet, so don't post to either of the two I have listed, if you look at their dates you will see they are older threads. I will advertise here for the first time. I usually advertise in several forums to catch individuals who want motivation. I'm thinking of starting it in approximately one week so be thinking about what you feel you could "reasonably" accomplish is 6 weeks.
