Reassembled motor and tested on 12V dc. after a small splutter it ran fine. Reassembled back into Zephyr and hard wired in a Soundtraxx decoder (all I had on hand ) Back on the track, she's been running flawlessly for an hour I've had a stops and starts and various speed all as good as gold.

I would be concerned for the long term. Do I give them a little heat and press them on, do they need any glue or loctite? Thanks, Ken. Just wondering!!!!! Since yours is up and running, I'll go into the observation car next week. Not really happy with the DSD decoder, makes the motor buzz it's a PWM thing. I've fiddled with the CV and it's close to being quiet. I'll invest in a silent drive one day. Ken. Looks much better. Ken. Reply Subscriber & Member Login Login, or register today to interact in our online community, comment on articles, receive our newsletter, manage your account online and more!
