A friend of mine that use to work in Arlington, Virginia was telling me about it passing by his office every day.

I live in Fredericksburg, VA and travel to Washington, DC every day. On many occasions I have seen a CSX train traveling through Arlington, VA near the Regan National Airport pulling or pushing many different RR cars.

I have also seen CSX engines pushing coal hoppers to the power plant in Stafford, VA and to the power plant in Southern Maryland on the Potomac River just across the Harry Nice bridge on Interstate 301. That inspired me to model a coal fueled power station for my layout. The power station in Southern Maryland is using what looks like an old dark blue F series diesel for switching out the coal hoppers. It might be an old B&O unit. I have only seen it while driving past on Rt. 301 and couldn’t get a good look.

Bill

[/quote]

I , too live in DC (or near it at any rate) anfd I row on the Anacostia River next to the CSX main due south. I have seen the tropicana train many times as well as the circus train. Yes folks it exists.
