Although I know it would be beyond my budget, has anyone seen a Milwaukee Mallet offered? I've seen them on layouts at train shows. I suspect these are brass or maybe a kitbash.

Challenger did some in brass not long ago. I imagine their have been others done in brass as well but I don't know who did them.

Brass indeed and very pricey even when new -- now it is a collectible.
Don't expect to see Life Like do it in plastic either! Too rare. It might be possible to approximate it using the Mantua 2-6-6-2 as a starting point and then search for a boiler from Mantua, Cary, Bowser, etc. that looks close.

As I recall, the Milwaukee 2-6-6-2 had 56" or 57" drivers. The forth coming Spectrum USRA 2-6-6-2 would probably make a good chassis. For the super structure consider scratch from plastic.
See the Aug, Sept 1999 and Jan 2001 of Mainline Modeler for scratch building steam out of plastic.
