Water Level RouteDavid, have you tried simply pasting the BB Code directly in your post as if it were text? Try that instead of using the button to add a photo. Just copy the BBCode, paste it directly in your post, press enter, continue. It's what works for me.
This is also how I post photos. Forget about the insert image.

Go to the photo you want to share in whatever Flickr album you have it in and hit the little arrow at the bottom.

Guess I'm glad I use Imgur.... Click on the photo, then In the list find BBCode, click on copy, then place here. (Option C on my mac) and the photo appears.

I also found folks referencing a browser issue, but they talked about the ad blocker first in that thread too.

From my experiences with Flickr, I could see the BB code in my old PC and in my Mac; however, I cannot see it in my iPad which is where I do 99% of my posting from. If you can't see the BB code, it might be the device you're posting from. I don't know for sure, but the same might also be true from Android devices. Perhaps someone else can shed some light on that.

It was another cold morning (15°F) to walk the dog. The ice is mostly gone, although in the dark it's hard to tell what's ice and what's just wet.
David, I'm glad you finally got to post a photo again!
It sounds like this is more of a Flickr problem and not a forum problem. The arrow or the BB code appears on some systems and not on others. I wonder if Flickr recently had a software update that caused this?
Ed, is there any news on the health front?

For me, today is layout tree day. (That is, it's layout tree day in the time I have left after going to Walmart for my wife's shopping list. I hate going there, but out here in flyover country, it's the only store in town where we can get certain things. My complaint about them is that I have to spend so much time going up and down aisles searching for the items on the list.)
I'm also looking forward to getting the new Samsung tablet today. The email said it's out for delivery. I think my wife will like it. It's her birthday present. If she doesn't like it, I will get it!

The GF has an iPhone which has been suddenly acting up. Turns out, those fun-loving Appleheads just "updated" it, which caused it not to be able to call out and then not to recognize its own SIM card, even though she did nothing to cause these problems. "If it ain’t broke, fix it until it is" seems to be their motto. We were out doing Meals on Wheels, so she had to use my humble Android phone to call clients.

Hi John,
Nope! The one company in Canada that came up on a Google search seems to not be doing business. My emails to them get returned with a message that the system has tried several times to deliver the email without success. This is not the Mailer-Demon response that you get when an email address is wrong or defunct, so it looks like the address is still valid but nobody is responding on the other end.
What I want to have done includes building a 2' x 10' piece of benchwork for the large yard, getting the track laid properly, and getting the wiring done. The main benchwork is built and I just have to level the surface properly before the track is laid on it.
The fact is that I probably can do all the work by myself but we have to get the garage cleared out and the floor refinished finished. We were making good progress on that last fall but then Dianne injured her calf muscle badly so work came to a halt. She has recovered to the point where we can start again. All we have to do is find the time.

Thanks everyone for inquiring about my well being! I had a short visit with my urologist yesterday and everything is status quo for the time being. Blood test and follow up with the oncologist will reveal more toward the first of July.

We had three granddaughters here for a four-day visit and that has left me a bit exhausted. Seems like one of them was generous with whatever virus they were harboring as I'm now feeling sore and light headed. Sure signs of more flu-like symptoms to follow.

Tuesday is a yes or no day. I have to have an x-ray. Doctors think I could have cancer. I say I haven't. It appears that whatever symptom a person has, the doctors have to treat them for possible cancer.

Good Friday morning. I keep thinking it is Saturday for some reason. It is cool and damp, perfect weather for all the yardwork I have to do today.
The daughter came home last night for a few days, driving herself on the ferry with the car she now has, it was kind of nice not having to make the drive to go get her.

Thanks, John, the stairs are for this coaling tower. It has been a lot of work with a lot of precise cutting. Building this thing has really slowed down progress on other things.
Bear, thanks for the offer to stay at the Bear Hotel. That 17 hour non-stop would be too much for the wife even in the comfy seats up front, but you never know. She is talking of a cruise around the Pacific Rim with stops in NZ. I am not big on cruises and the cattle car excursions when going ashore. I have traveled a lot and always just went at my own pace, staying longer when I wanted to and leaving if and when I was ready to move on from a place.
David, hope your X-ray turns out for the best, at least you live in a place where early detection is available which always makes for the best outcome.
I had 16 yards of soil delivered and started shoveling and moving it to where I wanted it around the back 40. I had just started and two of my neighbours showed up with their tractors and had it all done in no time. Country living with great neighbours can't be beaten.
Cabeese sounds good to me for next month.

Good morning. I'll have bacon, eggs, and black coffee.
I went to the store to get more bacon, and the price was higher again. If I keep eating bacon everyday the bank is going to start questioning my grocery store purchase amounts.
My little town has a couple of model train fanatics who I know. However, the other day I was checking a hobby store's website and saw a comment by a man I know from church. He was asking about certain covered hoppers. All this time I didn't know he was a model railroad nerd like me. Maybe we need to develop a secret handshake or a code word so we recognize each other.
I don't print too much with my computer anymore but whenever I do, as often as not, I need to get another new ink cartridge. I'm considering buying a new printer that uses the small bottles of ink. Has anyone tried one of those?

Brent, cherish those "first time and last time" events. Our children grow up, and it seems like mere minutes pass as they go from strollers to bike seats on the back to their own bikes to riding triathlons. The same goes for us chauffeuring them everywhere to those first tentative loops around the school parking lot in the summer to watching them drive off with their own cars packed with stuff.
It sounds like we've both raised children to be proud of. My daughter is doing acupuncture in Maine.
