We changed the clocks back already last weekend and it took me the whole week to get my inner clock set right. I wouldn´t mind getting rid of DST at all, although for us folks living up north, there is a benefit - it is stays dark a little longer in the morning. Without DST, sunrise in my neck of the woods would be 2.30am, that´s a little early [:)]

I spend the last hour running trains on my layout. It´s amazing how quickly gunk accumulates on the wheels! I have found a simple method of cleaning the wheels just by putting two lengths of 1" wide masking tape over the track with a 4" gap between them. The tape is the cheap stuff used by painters, not the expensive stuff modelbuilders use. It really works - those Bemo Swiss narrow gauge electrics are quite heavy and have a big flywheel in them.

Brunhilda - it´s not yet 5pm, but the sun´s aready setting here. How about a mug load of hot chocolate, beefed up a little with a generous swig out of that certain bottle Vinnie keeps beneath the counter? And a handful of chocolate chippers to go with it, please!
