EDIT: Never mind, I'm dum.``````````````````````````````````````````````The reason is, it asks me about N scale models, about which I know nothing, and steam and narrow gauge models, about which I ALSO know nothing.Yes, I could just click something, but that would actively harm the accuracy of the survey since it would be random. Each category needs a "No Opinion/Do Not Know" choice.

Just don't click items for which you have no opinion.
That's what i did.

Yes, you can just skip categories for which you have no choice or no knowledge to make a choice.

Sounds like we all think the same way; don't vote spuriously if you have no experience or opinion so that the final tally of votes counted won't be inflated and affect the true values of the opinions that are truthfully claimed. Ideally, the tallies of votes should reflect informed opinions.
Well, duh. I didn't even try skipping pages. My dumb.
Yes I skipped categories that I had no opinion on as I did not use those products

Does it matter either way?
I just completed it. I didn't check many boxes, just basics like favorite manufacturer, favorite B&M hobby shop.
I have nothing in any of the choices. I hardly ever go out and buy new stuff, except decoders and supplies for scratch building and detailing.
The last thing I bought new was a Scale Trains Operator series loco. A year ago.

I just completed it for the first time ever. I answered less than 10 of the questions, it was quite difficult as I models on a budget and so I don’t every buy brand new rolling stock or anything. I find it a bit weird that they give so few options, It seems the only have items factored in reviews. I think they should add most new products or rereleased products of the year if they want better results.

Did anybody but me misread that other thread as "Model Railroader Community Outrage?"

What this hobby needs is a new outrage. The old outrages have been thoroughly masticated.*

I have a reply I made in here after Isac, vanished.
Things are getting awfull weird in here!
I'm systematically being eliminated from the forum. One thread, and one reply at a time.
What survey?
I have the right to remain silent. By posting here I have given up that right and accept that anything I say can and will be used as evidence to critique me.
It's on the homepage, You will see an ad for the Feb issue, that picture changes to the survey and 4 other ads.
No one is expected to fill out the entire survey, unless they model N, HO, O scale in DC and DCC and live in the North East South West or flyover.

IMO, that was a pretty worthless survey. I think I only voted for two things. And I won't be surprised if I start getting hammered with unsolicited spam because of it. Should know better.

Yep, I did as well. Apparently only people with really high IQs read it that way.

However, I do not hold a valid passport, so I guess that was to be expected.
