Additionally for those that use Firefox (like me), you might try using the Script Blocker that is available. I find that using that also helps with issues as well. You will have to allow certain scripts but it allows you to block ones that are malicious and also leave ones that just plain aren't needed.

ISSUES went away, but now they are back. The forum keeps crashing the browser. Customer Support is 1-800-533-6644, so if you continue th have problems (like the problem LION) Give them a call, the nice lady there will take your information, and pass it along to customer support or at least to the IT guys. (Glad Im not their IT Guy!) If you got problems, let them know, the more calls the faster they will fix it.

Thanks for this suggestion.  I attempted to use it, but don't know how to determine the "url" for this site.

Yep, it got slow again....

Safari is out, Chrome is acting up, but works (for now) still.

Although I wasn't locked out over the weekend like some were....

I'm glad I read this post. I was having all of the aformentioned problems. I thought my laptop was compromised.

But had already decided to switch to Linux. After installing Linux and Chrome browser, no more problems.

LION uses FIREFOX... Him added AdBlocker Ultimage (An Add-On) and that seems to have solved the problem. Of course now I can see no ads at all, but then how is that a problem.

URL for the site is in the upper left hand corner of your browser.

But you do not need that to call Kalmbach, they already know what their URL is.

FRRYkid... Yes I figured out your user name from our logo.

Using a Chromebook with Chrome browser: never had a problem with the MR site itself until yesterday when I couldn't log in.  It's now working fine, don't know what the login problem was? But for the MR site itself, everything has always worked very well for me.

When the LION started this thread, I thought I was beyond the problems he mentioned, but since a couple of days, this forum has turned my Bugatti Veyron computer into a Ford Model T!

Everytime I open the MR forum, my computer slows down dramatically. At first I thought this is an issue with my browser Firefox 47, but as all other web pages perform as before, I assume there is an issue with the forum software or an incompatibility issue.

I am not amused!

So if you are using FireFox then then a simple add-on will fix it.

"LION uses FIREFOX... Him added AdBlocker Ultimage (An Add-On) and that seems to have solved the problem."

Click on "tools", in your browser and then open "Add Ons". Search fo and download the AdBlocker Ultimate plug-in. Works fine, problems gone. But write to the suppoer people to let hem know that they are still pumping out baddly behaved adds.

They gotta cut that out.

The Lion is correct. I've had 'AdBlocker' for over a year and it's wonderful. Some sites object to this but one does have the option of pausing/stopping AdBlocker for a particular domain name.

Thanks for pointing me to Adblocker Ultimage! I had Adblock Plus, which didn´t seem to do trhe job. I now have installed this new Adblocker and will keep an eye on the performance.
