Hi, Back then I bought a Bowser A5 that looked nothing like one. It was dressed for a custom railroad. I tried my best to remove everything to doesn't fit, and found these interesting brass headlights. Can anyone tell me any info on them? They look really unique...

Those look like they're only partial headlights, with at least the bottom and front missing from both. While there are HO scale headlights with open numberboards, yours appear to have been opened using a rotary cutter in a Dremel - note the rounded corners. Did your freelanced loco come with oversize lightbulbs in those castings? I'd toss those in some blackener, then relegate them to a scrap pile near the roundhouse. There are much better headlight castings available from both Cal-Scale (Bowser) and Precision Scale Castings.

It dosen't look like it was foced open...
There are not scratch marks on this casting.
And it wasn't scratch built because there are 2 rivits on the strips holding the top to the base.
No, It actually came with an Athearn genesis headlight bulb.
Yes, I do know there are better headlight castings and I am using a Cal scale Prr headlight and bracket for this engine. I am also superdetailing this engine but that's off topic

I can't find it, but it looks familiar and it's been bugging me since the item was first posted. I seem to recall a similar headlight used on small NP switchers, and I have a feeling it was a limited production detail part from one of the lost wax casting producers such as Cal Scale or PIA.
