Humm ... Are those who give up and/or boycott UP models (which will hurt the makers far more than UP) going to also boycott AMTRAK and now CSX , too ??? Like it or not, it's UP's legal option (in fact, the legal system has effectively told UP to use it or lose it - they can't NOT charge without losing their trademarks!), as it was AMTRAKs before them (via the Wathers, Kato, etc licences) and now CSX. Brace for the other RRs to do the same thing. In fact, I'm waiting on MAYTAG to start charging for the ROCK ISLAND (yes, they own it !!!). As I have all the UP (one loco, some boxcars and a caboose) that I need, that would impact me FAR more than any UP fee. But I would pay it without any problems, as it is Maytag's right, too. Meanwhile, I think ATHEARN is in a lot of legal trouble.
