I have been searching without any success for HO scale brass models that represent the Union Pacific Shays #59 and #61. I would be grateful if anyone could suggest possible suitable models so I can try to acquire them.

Did You check with these people? If they don't have it, they might be able to tell you what is avaiable: I did not look through all of them, 1200 plus.

I don't recall that anybody ever produced a model of those specific engines, but I don't have access to my copy of the Brown Book right now. If they did, I would suggest Balboa or Westside as the importer.
It's more likely that you'll have to find something that looks fairly close in its general proportions, then redetail the heck out of it.
