What or where is it the best to find Xmas decorations for my n scale layout?

Not sure what you mean -- do you mean tiny N scale decorations for N scale houses?  Or do you mean diorama type decorations that could be used on a layout such as trees or houses?  I will say that some of the Hallmark "Lionel" ornaments must be close to N scale in size (they are not in the same scale from year to year, that is clear) and if you can find them cheap enough I think they could be a decent source for some details such as boiler fronts, cabs and perhaps entire shells.

I would not recomend that, the problem with non N scale model trains that claim to be N scale is that they are just a tiny bit out of scale by a lot or by a little. I have those SP units that I guess were realised with time magazine or something, they do not very good to look at next to an N scale model.

I agree though that the we may be able to better help the OP if he can define what he is looking for.
