Brooklyn Backdrop
Posted by BroadwayLion on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 3:18 PM

Ok, it is a real prototype photo in 1:1 scale... but with that phone wire hanging down at the top of the frame ant the light pole in the middle I thought it did look like a backdrop on a layout.

Where in Brooklyn is this?

The West End train turns east to 9th Avenue. In the opposite direction the line used to go west to third avenue. Actually, it still does go west, and I followed as far west as possible and so you find me standing on first avenue looking west to the waterfront. Here are the rest of the photos which may help to put them in context.

Cool! I like the photos. All that's missing is the Cyclones ballpark during a game. BTW: Good photo of lower Manhattan with the new WTC going up, although it will never look the same to me.

Great pix of the Subway. Comish Kelly is looking for your camera though.Smile
