Some of you may recall Brian Elchlepp’s BC Rail Dawson Creek Sub., which had an informative website about his layout and that railway, and which was featured in Canadian Railway Modeller Train 11, Track 1.

Do you know where he got the Canadian Cab locos? Until recently I had not seen the MLW/Alco versions of the Canadian cabs, & never seen them available in HO. I am working on some cab conversions for some GE's, bashing GMD base cabs to try to get them close.

Try a Google Search for Kaslo Shops and see what you can turn up. I know he had a bunch of resin HO cabndian stuff, maybe you can find something.
EDIT: And no, I'm not trying to be a snob, I'd give you the Kaslo link if there was one, but his site has fallen off the world and seems to be running through ditributors as of right now,so I'll elt you pick the ones you know/trust. I know they were working on the page for a while.

I was not going to take it like that, you're OK dude.. I somewhat expected the name Kaslo to come up, & for about 10 months had been looking for information on an 8-40CM & their SDL39. Yes, it is too bad more cannot be found about them, & what they offered, as that may be on someone's shelf somewhere..
However if they were not Kaslo, I would also like more info on them.

Seeing that helix made me wonder -- if you knew you were going to surround your hot water heater with a helix, would you go out and buy a new hot water heater even if the existing one was still OK? They only seem to last 7 to 10 years ....

Nice layout, also nice to see those great green locomotives, far better then the red, white and blue motif. Where is the bridge over the Peace at Taylor? I guess it's the next project eh?
