Today was open house at K-10 Model Trains in Maryville IL and I took some pictures. Has you my remember last month I meet Scott and his nephew Dawyn. I hired Dawyn to be my engineer at the last open house. Today I renewed is contract.
My engineer and my PCM Big Boy.
I all so took something to K-10 that I am sure few have seen, a fleet of Old Dutch Hooper's by Tyco. They have all been worked and roll as good as the high end stuff.
Big Boy heading up around Paul's Peak, 1.5 % grade.
Seems they where having a bad day at the park.
Iron Horse Park. Love the over grown fences.
Old Dutch Hopper's on the move.
All so took some Monon F-3's with me, here they are heading out of the yard.
Heading toward the bridges.
Few other things that caught my fancy.
I can say a layout can be to big! I am worn out after being there 3 and a half hours! Layout is 61 X 80 foot. But it was fun.

Great modeling and great photos everyone.
The following three photos are of my latest project.
This was the starting point, an Athearn BB FP-45 in Milwaukee Road colors.
Here is the body shell after stripping and the first coat of paint. I posted this photo a couple of weeks ago.
Here SF FP-45 #5945 is at the head of my Santa Fe passenger consist, trailed by its running mate, SF #5941. The new loco has a Soundtraxx LE decoder w/ 1-inch speaker, home made hand rails on the doors and MU and air hoses. Still some weathering to do on the trucks and pilot. It runs quite well and sounds awesome.
Keep up the good work guys. I always find this thread inspiring.
Remember its your railroad
