Wow - all of these photos are looking great so far!
Well, I haven't had much time to work on the layout the last couple of weeks, owing to moving house and other commitments. My club did have its Christmas party on Saturday, so I took my girlfriend along. We had a good time, and this locomotive
took first prize in the 'best improved kit' category - it's a Walthers Proto-N RS-2 that I painted while recovering from a medical operation in September. I've yet to weather any of my models - I'll get that done after the layout scenery.

DingySP Hi Art, Sagebrush huh, I was afraid of that...not much chance of finding any of that around Cincinnati. Thanks for the info, Tom

First time posting a pics in WPF.
I have been working on my benchwork the last few days. Getting the benchwork out of the way before winter break, then I can get to the fun part in mid-January. My benchwork is being done in sections so that it is transportable. Almost Free-Mo style. Due to space constraints I don't have space for a larger layout yet.
Section 1: This section is 16" wide by 79" long. 1x4 pine for framework with a 2" Dowboard top.
Section 2: This section is 12" wide by 79" long. Framework and top is the same as above.
Section 3: This section is 12" wide by 75" long. Framework and top is same as above. Sections 1 & 2 will butt up against this section at one end of the room. Once this section is in palce in the room, all will be leveled up and bolted together. The top is currently glued on and drying.
This will leave me the corner section to finish. It will be roughly 4' x 3'. It is an odd shape that is kind of hard to explain. Once that section is built and set. I will connect this end back to section 1 with a removeable bridge.
I think I got the bug once again.

Rob, any start on a layout is a good start. Use this for practice, then you will be that much ahead when you have more space. Keep posting progress photos!
