On my Allegheny & Cumberland, some days by what comes thru, it's hard to tell if it's the early '90s or the early '80s !

Packers,

Since it's my local railroad kudos on the NYS&W RS1.  Here's a challenge, the radiators on them would wear out.  Most pictures you see of them have most of the access doors open, they ran them this way to cool the engine.  That would be quite a feat to model!  And probably too much to try, so just kidding about modeling it that way.  But I do like the model you have there.

Well, then you probably going to hate me for this, but it will be repainted into Aiken southern paint (not my AAT scheme, this one uses orange and beige).

Thanks for lots of good photos this weekend. I've been working on n-scale scenery but not yet ready to photograph so here's a sepia of the passing caboose.

It's always great to see what you all have been up to.

During the past week and over the weekend, Gran'ma's house got paint and shingles.  I had the NFL games on today while shingling the roof - it took all of both games to do the shingles to this point.  I still have to do the ridges and trim the valleys, but the real tedious work is done:

I did paint the windows, so I'll be glazing and installing them as I have time this week.

When I finally get it done, this will be Betty Joe's Boarding House (a little nod to Petticoat Junction).

Phil,
I'm not a rocket scientist; they are my students.

See if you can find some detail parts of hood doors, take a file, maybe a dremel if your careful enough and have a small enough cutting balde, and cut doors out. Then add in detail part doors as if open across the other doors. If your good, you can cut the doors out and re-use them. But I'd have the backups on hand just in case.

rs2Mike. Love the Geeps. where did you get your window visors. Do you have any better shots or some closeups? I like the rust weathering on the trucks too. Good job.
