You tried to use the wrong method to attach your photo. Don't copy the web URL as you are viewing your photo. Look under your photo and you will find 4 links. Click on the IMG link and you will see the word "Copied" appear briefly. Go back to the MR Forum you are trying to post in and either "Control V" or right click and "Paste" into your post. This is what you'll get:

 It is fairly normal to scrap the first couple of dozen track plans as you work your way towards something you can start building.

 And then you improvise some while building, anyways - think of it as part and parcel of model railroading.

Definitely true. If you just can't find a plan you like, you can also just put down loose track on a flat table and play with trains until you've cooked up a plan you like, before literally nailing it down. This would work just as well on an O-shaped table or shelf as on my island layout. It's easier to do this with sectional track, of course.
