How do I control Fleischmann double slip turnouts amidst Kato Unitrack (N scale)?
Posted by C_Vi_Harlan on Saturday, April 25, 2020 12:52 PM
In my haste to get my track laid, I purchased three Fleischmann double-slip, 15, #22246 turnouts (Kato offers no slips) without considering how I would connect them physically and control them electrically.  Connecting the rails physically was no problem.  Controlling the double-slips electrically is a different matter.  Should I use one Fleischmann #6906 to control all the points of one turnout?  Should I use one Fleischmann #6920 to control one double-slip? Is the Fleischmann #6920 capable of controlling two #22246s? Do I need to use the Roco #10526 change over button (with feedback)?  Is there a better solution I have overlooked? The rest of my layout is Kato Unitrack (and accessories), and I am aware the Fleischmann and Kato systems operate differently and will have to operate next to and independently of each other.

Thanks.  Any suggestions (even opinions) will be welcomed.
